What style of coverage can I expect for my wedding?
There are 3 main types of wedding coverage
1) Traditional
This style of wedding photography is the oldest style and still a very popular form of wedding photography, it involves mostly, if not all, posed pictures. The day starts with family formals and posed shots of the bride and groom, then the photographer continues to capture the ceremony, first dance, cake cutting and etc.
2) Photojournalist
This is a newer style of coverage, like the name implies the wedding is covered just like a newspaper photographer would cover a news story. The photojournalist recording the moments of an event and telling a story naturally with no influence by him/herself, the picture are largely black and white with little post processing other then sharpening, cropping and sizing. The posed shots (if any) are very loose and informal.
3) Portrait Journalist
A blend of both traditional and Photojournalist, Portrait Journalist is the my chosen style . I start the coverage when you want and capture those moments that tell the story from beginning to end like the Photojournalist, but with the posed formals of traditional.
Can I get a DVD of all my pictures?
All of my custom packages include a DVD of full resolution JPEG images for you to print where ever and when ever you like. If you would like the digital negatives (Or RAW files) that can be arranged at an addition charge.
Can guests take pictures?
Of course! At one time it used to be common practice of the wedding photographer to not allow the guests to take pictures during the formals, that was because of their pricing structure. (They would charge very little up front for them to capture the wedding and make their profits off of print sales after the wedding.)
My pricing is not designed around print sales, although additional print may be purchased down the road after the wedding.
Some guidelines for guests: try to not interfere with the process by directing the subjects or stepping in front of me or diverting attention.
What is involved in booking you for my wedding?
I always like to meet with all my clients well before their special day. That way we can talk, get to know each other a little, go over your expectations and set up a future date to get together and work out a game plain for the day once final plans involving times and places have been set.
A $700 non-refundable retainer fee is required to book your date.
