An impromptu evening at the park

Last Thursday, around 3:00pm. I’m done everything I had to do for the day so I’m checking out FaceBook to see if anything interesting is happening. I start to get that familiar urge to photograph something or someone, it always seems to pop up when I’m just sitting around.

I’m in luck, Kat is online. Kat’s always up for a shoot, even last minute if she’s free. We talk for a bit and decide to get together at a park for an impromptu mother/daughter session. One thing I must say here, Kat’s daughter Bronwyn is inexcusably adorable.

While at the park I notice another photographer doing an engagement session. It’s always weird for me to run into another photographer working at the same location I chose. It’s a stupid feeling really, with a town as small as London, it’s not like there’s a lot of secret locations. Still, staying away from the popular location in London and trying to find those little spots…kinda makes me feel like I’m more original then I actually am.

A blast was had by all. Even having two kids of my own, it still amazes me how a three year old can wear out two adults and still have the energy to power a small township. Theres your solution to the energy crisis.

I’m writing this on my iPhone while I’m sitting at my sister and brother-in-laws house waiting for Thanksgiving dinner to be served up so I thought I’d end this post with what I’m thankful for in life. I’m thankful for my family, I’m thankful for my friends near and far. I’m thankful for the talents I’ve been granted and to tie this whole post together, I’m thankful for people like Kat and her daughter that allow me to practice my chosen art of photography…even when I get the urge last minute.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Lyn & Lance│Couples Portraits

Here are a few from my portrait session with Lyn and Lance. Lyn is the mastermind behind Pink Bliss Photography. There’s something very flattering about another photographer hiring you to take their picture. When that photographer is as good as Lyn, it makes the compliment that much more heart felt.

Little Matilda│Family Session

I usually don’t do infant sessions to often, but with cheeks like these I’m thinking maybe I should be doing more.
